You're probably wondering where I got my ideas about men and cheating.

I spent several years studying, talking to and observing men —both online and offline— who were married or had girlfriends.

I became fascinated by the VERY COMMON feelings and frustrations most of these men had in regards to their relationships and marriages, and the ways in which they JUSTIFIED being unfaithful to their partners.

Most, if not all, of these men had no intention of leaving their wives or girlfriends. They just wanted their cake and eat it, too, as the saying goes.

I learned about the things they did to cover their tracks, and the ways in which they couldn’t possibly cover their tracks…if only their wives or girlfriends were curious enough to check out their story.

The beauty of all this was these men felt absolutely unthreatened by my questions, because it was online and anonymous. They were able to tell me their stories with an honesty they couldn’t share with their friends, co-workers, family or spouses.

But most of these men’s wives were completely oblivious to what was going on. Sure, there were a few sharp women out there who could sense their man was spending way too much time online, was acting moody, was just “off” in some way, and they were very PROACTIVE in putting a stop to whatever was rumbling out on the horizon.

These women were very close with their husbands and they PAID ATTENTION to the warning signs. But these kind of women were pretty rare. Most men got away with what they were doing and kept doing it, month after month, year after year.
